Full marks to Rynew for holding awards for people who have actually helped leaseholders. Well, it’s a novelty!

By admin on Mar 16, 2018 07:02 pm

LKP-accredited managing agent Rynew last week held its own awards for contractors who are employed on leasehold-controlled blocks. This is a wonderful departure from the leasehold sector norm where awards are doled out wholesale a la Robert Mugabe to some of the most surprising winners. Such as this low episode: https://www.leaseholdknowledge.com/managing-agent-benjamin-mire-sacked-judicial-appointment-company-still-string-insiders-property-awards Rynew is a highly […]

The House of Commons Library today advises MPs and constituents to contact LKP – as well as the Leasehold Advisory Service, which has received extra funding to deal with the issue. The policy is rather different to government’s: LKP has briefed civil servants and advisors numerous times over this issue. But it has never advised […]

Tribunal rules Citiscape leaseholders must pay to remove Grenfell cladding. Will this mean some lose their homes?

By admin on Mar 13, 2018 11:13 am

The leaseholders at the Citiscape site in Croydon are to bear the costs of removing the Grenfell cladding and for the fire watch, the property tribunal has ruled. Without other intervention, this means that some of the leaseholders will inevitably lose their homes. Although the tribunal has ruled that estimated costs to replace the cladding […]

Government can’t lend cash to Grenfell cladding sites until someone agrees to pay it back, says LKP

By admin on Mar 08, 2018 11:52 am

Calls for the government to lend private blocks of flats cash to pay for fire marshals and to remove Grenfell cladding may be problematic. By admin on Mar 07, 2018 11:11 am
