Winter 2021 / 2022
Welcome to Granite City Folk Society's 2nd virtual concert season.
The pandemic is being more stubborn than any of us anticipated, so
the Society's concerts will remain virtual until
February 11, 2022, when we will to return to live-in-person concerts.
Meanwhile, look for our
on-line concerts
on Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:30 PM CST

Our artists will be performing via streaming services.
These streaming platforms will vary, so note the links for the individual events.

There is no ticketing for these performances,
but the artists will be operating their own virtual tip jars.
Be generous--we're all running on fumes these days.

Bill Staines Remembered

With gratitude and sadness, we remember singer, songwriter, and guitarist Bill Staines who passed away December 5, 2021 from prostate cancer at the age of 74.  A constant wanderer, Bill made the stage at BoDiddley’s home for two hours every other year for the past thirty years. His music, rooted in America and present in our hearts, will go on and on.

Special thanks go out to our season sponsors, GrandStay Residential Suites, Bo Diddley’s Deli, and CMAB for their generous support.

GrandStay provides first class overnight accommodations for our musician guests.

BoDiddley’s Provides food & beverage for our musicians and an intimate setting for 90% of our concerts.

Donations are tax deductible and offer donor recognition & thanks. This is not a profitable enterprise. Our ticket sales typically do not quite cover musician compensation, much less printing, advertising, theater rental, insurance, etc., etc. We have in recent years been fortunate to receive grants to help defray expenses, we have received in-kind donations from our season sponsors, and we have also enjoyed increasing support from patrons such as yourselves. Collectively, these are the pieces of the financial puzzle that keep our boat afloat. Please consider a donation. Any amount is greatly appreciated and is tax deductible.
