Pro Am at Pelham Celebrates
100th Anniversary of PGA Championship
|

On Monday, May 15th, the 2021 Met PGA Professional of the Year Mike Diffley and Pelham Country Club will host a Met PGA Pro Am on their recently renovated golf course in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 1923 PGA Championship. Then, a 36-hole match play event, it took champion Gene Sarazen 38-holes to take the title from runner-up Walter Hagen.
PGA members are encouraged to bring three amateurs for lunch, 1:00 pm shotgun golf, and cocktails on Monday May 15th at Pelham Country Club.

Assistant Professional's Meeting in Conjunction
with Saint Andrew's Tournament

There will be an early season, informational meeting for Assistant Golf Professionals held at Saint Andrew’s Golf Club on Tuesday, May 30th, prior to the tournament shotgun start. The meeting will be an opportunity to elect a Second Vice President, promote upcoming Section activities, and discuss issues.
While nominations from the floor will be accepted, anyone interested in running for Second Vice President is encouraged to contact Chris Chao cchao@pgahq.com in advance. Dress code for this meeting is golf attire.

2023 US Open PGA Member Access
Practice Rounds: PGA Members will be admitted on a daily basis for practice round access and may obtain 1 gallery ticket on site at the ticket office upon presentation of PGA membership card for the current year and photo ID. This incudes the following classifications only:

Class A PGA Members, Life Members and Master Professional Members only; this offer is extended to other Member classifications, Associates or PGA Golf Management University Students. No spouse or family members.
Competition Rounds: An advance online registration and verification process for Class A PGA Members, Life Members and Master Professional Members only, to apply for access to a limited quantity of complimentary Championship round gallery tickets (limit one ticket for member only per qualifying member per day), will be made available by PGA in May of 2023. (Registration does not guarantee a ticket due to limited quantity)

PGA Members Enroll in Deferred Compensation Now
Beginning on April 1, PGA Members who are in good standing, living/working in the U.S., can potentially earn up to $1,500 a year to a deferred compensation plan by participating in a combination of 16 activities. Members can directly register by clicking here.

We have restructured our Met PGA Compensation Survey to a digital platform for ease of use, updating some of the terminology in the process. PGA Members earn 1 PDR for completing the survey and an additional 1 PDR for opting into the PGA of America survey.
