Long Island & Westchester Pro Assistants

The Long Island and Westchester Pro Assistant event opened our 2023 tournament season at North Hills Country Club on Long Island, and Paramount Country Club in Westchester. Our tournament sponsors, TaylorMade and Evolve Golf, were on site at both locations, once again supporting our teams of Head Professionals and Assistants.
Congratulations to the team of Matt Dobyns and Dylan Newman of Meadow Brook Club on their Long Island victory, and to Ben Hoffhine and Mike Ballo of Westchester Country Club, Greg Bisconti and Mitch Gray of The Saint Andrew’s Golf Club, and John Deigan and Oren Shake of Wykagyl Country Club on their three-way tie for first in Westchester!

PGA HOPE Professional Training Sessions

Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point

Judy Alvarez, PGA will provide free training to PGA Members, Assistants, and Associates to better equip them to teach people with all disabilities at their clubs and at our PGA HOPE programs.
The training is on Thursday, April 27th at Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point from 8:30AM - 3:00PM. PGA Professionals attending will be eligible to participate as an instructor for PGA HOPE, and receive an honorarium in return for their time. 6 PDR credits will be given for attending.
The training is open to Professionals looking to receive training for the first time, as well as others who have previously gone through the program who are looking to refine their skills. We hope many will join us and become certified to teach at our PGA HOPE programs. Head Professionals please encourage your assistants to attend this amazing opportunity to expand their teaching knowledge to better serve your members and get engaged in our growth of the game initiatives!

PGA Members Enroll in Deferred Compensation Now
Beginning on April 1, PGA Members who are in good standing, living/working in the U.S., can potentially earn up to $1,500 a year to a deferred compensation plan by participating in a combination of 16 activities. Members can directly register by clicking here.

We have restructured our Met PGA Compensation Survey to a digital platform for ease of use, updating some of the terminology in the process. PGA Members earn 1 PDR for completing the survey and an additional 1 PDR for opting into the PGA of America survey.
