Meal Train - Meal Calendar for New Parents, Surgery, Illness, and More

Christ the King Lutheran Church has set up another Meal Train page for Bob and Sally Gogolin.  They're both at home while Sally continues to undergo ongoing treatments for leukemia this summer, and they've said they can use help with meals.  These meals are truly appreciated.

Thanks for all your help!

To volunteer one or more meals to help out the Gogolins, go to the Meal Train site for them HERE>>
Christ the King Lutheran Church is a member of the SELC District of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.  Our District has a weekly online newsletter called The Beacon - you can view or download the latest edition HERE>> to read about  activities in other congregations of our District, and articles of interest from some of our pastors, including this article about how the SELC District "invests" the offerings we bring each Sunday:

The SELC is unique among LCMS districts. Its non-geographical nature allows it to do ministry in any part of the country. Its lean structure—no office building or full-time staff—means that dollars invested by congregations directly support more Gospel proclamation through our mission and ministry. Sixty percent (60%) of the district’s budget supports work beyond our current congregations (church planting and evangelism, support for national Synod, Lutheran Haven, and seminaries). The balance provides care, supports SELC congregations in their ministries, and sustains the district.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact Rev. Dr. Mark Larson, Mission Advancement Director at markclarson0341@gmail.com.

 DISTRICT NOTES
Please continue to pray for our friends and fellow believers at Grace Lutheran Church in Lakewood, Ohio.  Grace Lutheran Church is still in the prayerful process of seeking the Lord's will about their next pastor.
Please continue to pray for all the members and families, and the pastors who are ministering to them, of our sister SELC District congregations in Florida
