Dear Washington Nonprofits Community,

I’m so grateful to be a part of our statewide nonprofit community while I am serving as Interim Executive Director for Washington Nonprofits.  Meeting members and learning about your successes and challenges is an honor and extremely thought-provoking for me.  Although we face a lot of uncertainty going into the new year, I am heartened to know that you are on the front-lines making a difference for our communities across Washington.

At the heart of our collective work is the central question of how we build a strong, resilient, influential nonprofit sector.  Washington Nonprofits has served thousands of people this year through three conferences, learning workshops, advocacy in Olympia, community impact work and more.  I am excited to continue the dialogue about what more our sector needs and to act on our conclusions!

Warm wishes for the holiday season and a great start to 2017,

Laura Pierce
Interim Executive Director, Washington Nonprofits

The Ostara Service Grant: Supporting New Organizations Promoting Tolerance and Understanding

Responding to the rise in hateful speech and acts at this moment in our country's history, The Ostara Group is awarding a grant of 25 hours of free consulting services to the next great nonprofit in Washington state whose mission promotes understanding, encourages compassion, and dispels stereotypes.
