Fort Buford and Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center to Host Public Programs and New Exhibits

FORT BUFORD—The public is invited to these free upcoming events at the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center and Fort Buford State Historic Site.
 
August 13, 2015           Fort Buford History Book Club, 7 p.m. CDT.  Join history buffs in a discussion of this month's selected book, “Forty Years a Fur Trader,” by Charles Larpenteur. Free refreshments.  Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center.  Please call in advance.
 
August 14-15, 2015      Confluence Quilters, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CDT.  Join the Confluence Quilters for their monthly meeting at the Confluence. All experience levels invited and instruction provided. Bring your own lunch and unfinished projects.
 
August 16, 2015            Cowboy Poetry Day, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. CDT. Featured poets and musicians will be Bill Lowman, D.W. Grothe, Jarl Kavalie, Mark Kerr, Linda and Terry Schwartz, and Open Range (Linda and Rick Steinke).  Free and open to the public. Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center.
 
August 16, 2015            Concert at the Confluence, 3 p.m. CDT.   The public is invited to a concert featuring “Cheaper Than Therapy” at the  Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center.
 
August 22-23, 2015        History Alive! featuring Arch Ellwein as Sgt. John Ordway at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. CDT both days. Fort Buford State Historic Site.
 
The Missouri Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center is located 22 miles southwest of Williston at Fort Buford State Historic Site. Hours are daily 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
