Candidates to the CIMAM Board 2020 – 2022

We are pleased to announce the names of the 23 candidates who are standing for election to the CIMAM Board for the period 2020-2022.

All CIMAM members have the right to vote in the elections to the Board*. Check the full description of the board functions and roles at the Election Guidelines and Bylaws before casting your vote.

Vote online: 14 October to 4 November, at the Members Only section entering your username (email address) and password.

Vote in person: 15 to 17 November, at the CIMAM 2019 Annual Conference, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia.

*CIMAM Members are those who have paid for their 2017–2019 CIMAM membership fees. If you have any questions regarding your membership status please contact members@cimam.org.

CIMAM’s 2019 General Assembly

The 2019 General Assembly will be held on Sunday 17 November, 14:00 – 15:30hrs. at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Sydney.

The General Assembly is the supreme governing body of CIMAM and consists of all voting members. Only voting members, those who have paid their membership fees, are entitled to vote. Patrons may attend the General Assembly and contribute to the discussion but may not vote.

This must-attend event for museums and gallery professionals arrives at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia from 15–17 November. 

Titled The 21st Century Art Museum: Is Context Everything? this year's conference will address the evolving relationship between core museological practices and values, and the necessary responsiveness of museums to context in their drive to remain relevant, innovative, and accessible.
