Over the last century, the prairies have undergone unprecedented changes and the supply and security of
water resources are predicted to become increasingly
stressed in the future. 
John Pomeroy is director of Global Water Futures,
distinguished professor of Geography, and director of the
Centre for Hydrology at the University of Saskatchewan.
