Massey partners with Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU to offer CAR T-cell therapy to children
This summer, Massey Cancer Center and Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU became a certified treatment center for CAR T-cell therapy for acute lymphoblastic leukemia in children and young adults. Plans are underway to offer more cellular immunotherapies, and Massey expects to open several clinical trials this year to expand use of CAR T-cell therapy.

After losing her daughter to brain cancer, a mother turned her heartbreak into hope
With a planned gift, Anne Beith established the Carol Tesiero Brain Tumor Research Fund in memory of her daughter. The fund provides critical resources for researchers like Mark Malkin, M.D., neuro-oncologist and member of Massey’s Developmental Therapeutics research program, to focus on translating research into clinical trials for brain tumor patients.
