A network of “second chance” schools to help thousands of young people to find their place in society
Aware that youth unemployment is a major challenge, we support the Mediterranean New Chance (MedNC) project to develop a network of second-chance schools. The objective: to help thousands of young people who are disconnected from training and employment find their place in society.

International internships to promote employment and employability
HOMERe (High opportunity in the Mediterranean for the Executive Recruitment), is a project supported by the UfM to promote internships across the Mediterranean. While the 1st phase of the project has enabled more than 500 students to complete a professional internship, a second phase was launched in the framework of the Summit of the Two Shores in Marseille.

Building a new Euro-Mediterranean generation
The UfM-labelled project of the EuroMed University of Fes (UEMF) in Morocco aims at building a new generation of young people with strong Euro-Mediterranean profiles, prepared to tackle the region’s needs. Recording a steady increase in enrolments, the first graduation of Master’s Students took place last June.

Summit of the Two Shores: Putting forward the views of the youth and civil society
The importance of education, and its ability to empower the region’s women and youth, was of the key themes discussed in the UfM Shared Views event last 22-23 May, gathering over 100 engaged representatives of the civil society, youth organisations and non-state actors.
