At the Tandem March members' meeting held last Thursday, March 10th, Marie Piu called for members willing to join a working group to prepare a response to the draft framework of the ILC (previously the Tier 2) of the NDIS.  12 members present at the meeting all put up their hands to work on this, to ensure that the carers perspective is properly represented in the final product.  Anyone else willing to assist, or with comments to offer is asked to email marie.piu@tandemcarers.org.au For more information and background about the ILC, click here.

Picture This exhibition

Gain a better understanding of the visual portrayal of mental health in our community by visiting an exhibition in The Atrium at Federation Square.

In 2015 SANE  partnered with the world’s leader in visual communications to undertake the country’s first research project asking…

What is a fair and accurate visual representation of mental illness?

While community attitudes and media reporting about the way we speak about mental illness are among the most responsible in the world, the way mental illness is visually portrayed remains a concern for many Australians.

SANE Australia and Getty Images will release the key recommendations of Picture This through this public display.
