Register for symposium celebrating Robert Williams

“Symposium: Energy for a Carbon-Constrained World” will be held on April 3, 2017 in honor of Robert H. Williams, senior research scientist and head of the Energy Systems Analysis Group at the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment, on the occasion of his retirement from Princeton University. This all-day symposium will feature renowned international experts from academia, industry, and government. Details and registration found here.

Avalos and Meggers win Schmidt Fund 

Two Andlinger Center faculty members received support from the Eric and Wendy Schmidt Transformative Technology Fund. Jose Avalos is part of a team working on enhancing biofuels, and Forrest Meggers is part of a team working on a new test facility for future wind turbines. Read more here.

Innovation Forum features Jha and Meggers

Niraj Jha, former associate education director at the Andlinger Center and a current associated faculty member at the center, was awarded second place at the 12th annual Innovation Forum last month for his proposal to combine cryptography and highly efficient sensors to help secure the Internet of Things — everyday devices connected to the Internet. Forrest Meggers, also a faculty member at the center, presented his work on smart sensors that allow for better heating control for buildings.

Call for proposals for collaborative innovative research in energy and the environment

The Andlinger Center is pleased to announce a call for proposals for University faculty and senior researchers. The goal of this call is to encourage the development of multi-investigator center grant proposals that seed thematic interdisciplinary research projects related to energy and the environment. Deadline for written proposals is Monday, May 1, 2017. Selected proposals can start as early as Summer 2017. Read more here.

Nominations open for Maeder Graduate Fellowship

Nominations are being accepted for the Maeder Graduate Fellowship in Energy and the Environment for the academic year 2017-2018. The deadline for nominations is March 31, 2017. Read more here.
