October 6 Public Meeting
At our public meeting on Tuesday, residents heard Project updates and participated in a two-part activity to help inform a calendar of events in 2016 that complements the anticipated uses of the Tribune. Residents shared the types of activities that they see themselves doing in the Tribune once it opens. Ideas ranged from taking photography classes, to learning how to repurpose furniture, participating in running clubs and having a battle of the bands in the outdoor plaza. All ideas were shared with the entire group. Then, attendees voted for their favorite three activities. This was challenging as there were so many unique, fun, and creative ideas! If you would like to share your ideas for the activities you hope to do in the Tribune, please click here

Construction Update
On October 9, our partners at J.H. Findorff & Son, Inc., will begin preparation for construction on the Tribune site. This will include placement of a construction trailer and fencing around the perimeter of the site. Asbestos abatement and construction on the building’s interior will begin during the week of October 19. With winter just around the corner, we anticipate that construction on the grounds and the building’s exterior will begin in the spring, and we plan to hold a celebration at the Tribune at that time. We will keep you informed and hope you will join us!
Environmental Sustainability Learning Opportunity
Our latest educational paper, Growing the Economy through Environmental Sustainability, is now available. It provides an interesting overview of the value of sustainability, what “green” building is and why it’s important, and highlights sustainable features in the Tribune, among other topics. Read all about it by downloading a copy from our website.

On Tuesday, November 3, join us to learn more about the Tribune building’s sustainable design and functionality at an informational session from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Renaissance Learning. We are excited to welcome back Steven Bingler, founder and president of Concordia, as our guest presenter that evening. It promises to be an informational and interactive event. Mark your calendar and RSVP here!

Tribune 101 Presentation
On Wednesday, November 11, Incourage will host a Tribune 101 in McMillan Library's All Purpose Room at 5:30 p.m. Tribune 101 will share the origins of the Project and update attendees on progress to date. All are welcome - please invite your friends, family, and colleagues to learn more about the Tribune! RSVP here.
