The end of April marks the beginning of the end of World War II. May 8th is V-E Day, when 70 years ago Nazi Germany laid down its arms and the Allies formally accepted its unconditional surrender.
This War Department pamphlet features a front cover illustration by Arthur Szyk of Hitler, Mussolini, and Hirohito. The U.S. government published the pamphlet on April 28, nine days before V-E Day occurred.
