Greetings!
Summer has been filled with many exciting changes underway for ISAAC.
First things first, we'd like to announce that ISAAC now stands for "Innovative Space for Asian American Christianity!"
Our summer internship exists to do just that—as ISAAC places three Asian American young adults in African American churches, these leaders are prepared to make an impact in their communities and beyond. In the process, they, too, are transformed. Introducing our summer interns and intern supervisors (from left to right):

Janelle Paule, Recent Graduate of Biola University — Intern at West Angeles Church of God in Christ, mentored by Elder Oscar Owens
William Ko, Sophomore at Biola University — Intern at Word of Encouragement Community Church, mentored by Rev. Dr. Damali ‘Najuma’ Smith-Pollard
Xeres Villanueva, Azusa Pacific University Alumna — Intern at Park Hills Community Church, mentored by Reverend Larry Dove

In addition to weekly visits at our partner churches, interns gather together once a week to share a meal and are mentored by the ISAAC Internship Program Director, Reverend Dr. Young Lee Hertig.

Announcing Heart2Heart Blog

We are excited to announce our newest blog series, Heart2Heart!
An excerpt from Reverend Hertig's first post, "Knowing Heart, Knowing Whole Being:"
CS Song, in his seminal book, Third Eye Theology, states, “To know one’s heart is to know one’s whole being.” How do we know our hearts? Jesus answers in his teaching to disciples, that “where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Luke 12: 34). The Heart2Heart blog, therefore, involves a treasure hunt. [Read more here.]
Stay tuned for more Heart2Heart sharing!
