Spring Roundup

In this month’s roundup we bring you news of where to find 110 special craft beers at Copenhagen’s best new festival, share the next release from London's favourite flugelhornist, introduce a young French pop discovery courtesy of The Dø, and catch you up on all the latest happenings in the reggae world. Keep an extra eye out whilst you're here for all our upcoming distribution releases, album launch parties and of course, a playlist bursting with all our spring roster has to offer.

HAVEN [Events PR]

The expanding festival, set in Denmark’s capital city, continues to impress with it's incredibly diverse line-up, most recently welcoming Nils Frahm and Jenny Lewis to the bill. Curated by The National’s Aaron and Bryce Dessner, Mikkeller brewery’s Mikkel Borg Bergsø and culinary entrepreneur Claus Meyer, huge names such as Arcade Fire, Brockhampton, Kraftwerk and Ariel Pink are ready to take on the urban environment this summer, and with 110 different types of beer being specially brewed for the occasion, it's no wonder the experience is being highlighted by the likes of Pitchfork, Guardian, Billboard, Stereogum and DIY.
Tony Njoku [Radio]

Newly signed to Silent Kid Records, the British-Nigerian artist’s blend of African percussion and swirling synths has been impressing Gilles Peterson, FACT, i-D, MOJO, DIY and The Line of Best Fit recently. The debut LP ‘H.P.A.C’ drops on the 27th April before his album launch party, hosted by Parallel lines at OTC on 12th May.
Distribution Roundup

After we found success pitching Vaarwell for playlists such as Spotify's 'Indie Arrivals', our distribution department continues to fire on all cylinders. Garage producer Lore releases his debut EP 'Down The Well' on Kokeshi, Parisian alt hip-hop artist Thincoeur reveals the Breakfast At Tiffany’s-inspired collaboration with Fang The Great, folk-pop artist Autumnmusic will release her debut EP ‘Dreams&Fears’ and Youth Control cap off a busy month with a dose of nu-disco courtesy of Koobra & Erconomics’ new EP.
Deep Heads [Print, Radio & Online]

Label head Zeb Samuels has been picking up steam with the latest compilation album ‘Cosmic Vibrations’, featuring Flying Lotus, Kaytranada, BadBadNotGood, Bonobo, Lapalux, Synkro, Ash Walker, and Yazz Ahmed. Support so far comes from Nemone, Gideon Coe and Don Letts on BBC 6 Music, as well as a spread of features and reviews in DJ Mag, Dummy, Clash and XLR8R.
Reggae Round-Up

It only took the faintest whiff of summer to bring our reggae contingent to life this month, as they launched into a flurry of activity around the UK. Italy’s premiere reggae collective Mellow Mood really made a mark on British shores with their new ‘Large’ LP and jubilant show at Brixton Jamm, the Grammy nominated Common Kings supported The Wailers around the UK, New Town Kings announced the Rodigan-approved â€˜Reach Out’ album and our tropical pop princess Hollie Cook announced 10 headline shows and 15+ festival appearances this summer.
Yorina [Coming up...]

We’re excited to launch a new project with Yorina – the next exciting prospect emerging from a bourgeoning Parisian electro pop scene. Discovered and produced by none other than Dan Levy of The Dø, her debut EP on Barclay (Universal) is expected to turn heads throughout the music, fashion and art spheres alike.
