Great Time to Bike

The bike trails are improving around the area. Jeff Winegard, Executive Director of the Top of Michigan Trails Council, says that the 25 mile stretch of compacted crushed limestone from Alanson to Mackinaw City will be done by the end of September with work still needed on two bridges. The paved 7 mile trail from Alanson to Petoskey is finished with some work in Alanson yet to complete. The Burt Lake Trail is in the 2nd Phase.
