News from Artist Cary Reeder, February/March 2016
Hello Friends and Art Lovers,
Greetings and happy Spring to you! The last two months have been quite eventful with events at West Elm CityCentre, preparing for an upcoming show in San Antonio, and other exciting happenings. Of special note, I'm having an Open Studio this Saturday - details below. Read on...
Flabbergasted, In a Word
Back in 2006 when I got back into art-making after a 20 year hiatus, the only real dream I had was to take classes, explore all manner of media, and to immerse myself in the pure joy of creating. I never had illusions of getting into art shows, let alone to have my art featured in a national magazine. I probably should have dreamed bigger! My work is featured in the Spring 2016 issue of Acrylic Artist magazine, which is on newsstands today. I'm honored, humbled, and yes, a bit flabbergasted to be in such an big time magazine. So the lesson is: dream big and then dream even bigger!
Open Studio Saturday - Help Me Celebrate!
I'm opening my studio this Saturday from 2-5 pm to celebrate being in Acrylic Artist! Please stop by for yummy treats, art, and chit chat in studio #28c upstairs at Winter Street Studios, 2101 Winter Street.
