With the close of one year and the opening of another, our stretch of Highway 1 comes vibrantly to life. We call January and February “The Season of Coastal Discovery” because the coast shines during these months, offering treasures like whale watching, surfing, beachcombing, wildflowers, a kaleidoscope of Monarch butterflies and so much more. Best of all, you’ll have the shoreline completely to yourself ( is, if you don’t count the tidepool critters, sea birds and elephant seals).
