TICKET SALES CLOSE 25 September for A+W•NZ Awards Dinner
Tickets are selling now for the A+W•NZ Awards Dinner - held on 27 September 2014, at the Te Iringa Room, Sir Paul Reeves Building, AUT. (WG Building - City Campus map available here.) The Awards Dinner is one of the final events on the NZIA AAW Calendar, and will be a wonderful way to complete a promising architecture-filled week. For catering purposes, tickets will not be available after Thursday 25 September 2014, 4pm, so be in early - that is only just over a week away. There will be no door sales available. Tickets cost $90 each, and $800 for a table of 10, and are available via Eventbrite. Many thanks to Resene, The Warren Trust and AUT for their incredible support.

Bungalow, By Nicole Stock and Patrick Reynolds
Bungalow is a new book by Nicole Stock (editor) and Patrick Reynolds (Photographer) is 'A glorious celebration of one of New Zealand's most significant residential architectural styles. If you live in a house built before 1940, chances are it's a bungalow. It may be small and utilitarian, or it may be a high-flown celebration of the Arts and Crafts movement, loaded with inglenooks, stained-glass windows and wood panelling ...either way it's a housing style that's instantly familiar to New Zealanders: well built, snug, and full of character.'

Gentle Foundations - Exhibition St Paul St Gallery 3, AUT
Gentle Foundations: Extrapolations of The Whare in the Bush is an installation exhibition being held at the St Paul St Gallery Three, AUT, during the NZIA Auckland Architecture Week. The exhibition is a re-interpretation of a cabin project called The Whare in the Bush, conceived of and built by a collective of four female architectural graduates. Two of the collective, Elisapeta Heta and Rebecca Green, have worked with curator Tosh Ahkit to re-present their version on an iconic 'man alone' New Zealand tradition. The exhibition opens on Tuesday 23rd September (5:30pm, all welcome) and runs until Sunday 28 September, gallery hours 10am-4:30pm. Supported by the NZIA, AUT, A+W•NZ and Kahurangi Wines.
