Call for applications: 
StayHome Curatorial Online Residency
Funded by OCA – Office for Contemporary Art Norway

Thanks to the generous support of OCA – Office for Contemporary Art Norway, CIMAM offers three grants for the StayHome Curatorial Online Residency to young contemporary art museum directors, and curators working institutionally or independently residing in Norway. Candidates who are Sámi or from diaspora backgrounds are encouraged to apply.  

Deadline for applications: Monday, October 26, 2020 at 12:00 hrs. (noon) (CET)

The Residency
Through this residency selected candidates can further develop their research projects or start new ones and benefit from the mentoring of a member of the CIMAM Board. The residency will provide unique relevant networking and exchange opportunities. The Mentors will stimulate dialogue and thinking, introduce the candidates to other relevant contacts within their research area, and provide online research guidance, where needed.
The Award
Selected candidates will receive an honorarium of 900 € in 2020 in addition to being awarded a travel grant to attend next year’s CIMAM Annual Conference in Poland (November 5 – 7, 2021). The Annual Conference is the most important meeting point for contemporary art professionals and an essential resource for the collaboration between museums, visual art professionals, artists, and other institutions concerned with modern and contemporary art. Successful applicants become members of CIMAM for the triennial they have been awarded allowing continuity and belonging to the most relevant international contemporary art museum community.

Young contemporary art museum directors and curators residing in Norway. OCA encourages applications by candidates who are from Sámi or diaspora backgrounds. This program seeks to award 3 grants.

Length of the Residency
The online curatorial residency will last 20 consecutive days including the time for email exchange, writing, and submission of the video and article to CIMAM.
