Register to join over 200 directors, curators and art professionals of modern and contemporary art museums from around the world to discuss issues of common concern, network with colleagues and learn about the site and local artists of the hosting city.

This year’s conference titled The 21st Century Art Museum: Is Context Everything? will address the evolving relationship between core museological practices and values and the necessary responsiveness of museums to context in their drive to remain relevant, innovative and accessible.

The two-day optional program Meeanjin & Minjerribah (Brisbane & North Stradbroke Island), 18–19 November includes visits to: Queensland Art Gallery & Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) – one of the leading institutions for Australian and Asian-Pacific contemporary art, Milani Gallery and Artist Studios – one of the best galleries in Brisbane with a newly refurbished space, and Institute of Modern Art – the oldest contemporary art space in Australia.
