Reading Apprenticeship Community College STEM Network: Increasing Retention and Success of All Community College STEM Students

The Reading Apprenticeship Community College STEM Network (RACCSN) is a three-year effort to increase retention and success of all community college STEM students, including student populations underrepresented in STEM careers.

Through STEM-focused workshops, seminars, cross-campus exchanges, and an online course, RACCSN will help instructors use their expertise to deepen their students’ ability to analyze and understand STEM texts.

Instructors will also learn how to use the Reading Apprenticeship framework, developed by WestEd’s Strategic Literacy Initiative, to create a context for building students’ academic confidence and competence. Learn more about RACCSN.
