In a small building just off of Virginia Commonwealth University’s campus, Red Eye Cookie Co. bakes up treats to satisfy students’ late-night sweet-tooth cravings. Entrepreneur Brayden Pleasants (B.S.’13/B), inspired by the real-world lessons he learned in the School of Business, launched the cookie delivery company in 2014 and in just a year has expanded delivery zones and developed an app for mobile ordering. He also has an eye on additional locations.

Mark your calendar to join VCU Alumni for Homecoming, Nov. 8-15. VCU’s traditional frozen February Homecoming moves to November this year, bringing (hopefully) warmer weather and even more spirit to outdoor events such as the game-day parade and tailgate. Homecoming will rally around Rams basketball with a double-header featuring both the men’s and women’s teams. Favorite events, such as Homecoming court and the 30th anniversary of the Fall Block Step Show, will return amid a host of new activities.
